1. Economy Class Mail (Surface)

TPC offers low-cost and reliable service to our economy mailers! Economy mail is the traditional mail category popular known as Ordinary Mail.

How it is handled:

• Affixed with postage stamps depending on weight/destination and is to be dropped into a letter posting box.
• The sender should write correct address of the addressee on the face of the envelope and sender's address on the backside.
• Sorted into private letter boxes after sorting the Priority Mail.
• It is economical.
• Convenient and reliable.
• Delivery is focused into the private letter boxes/bags.

2. Express Class Mail (Surface)

For an additional Express fee, special handling insures that your mail reaches the recipient in less time than by regular economy service! Posting fees and destination tariffs, if any, apply. (see Fee Tables) Remember: The red label means express delivery!

3. Economy Parcel Post (Surface)

Packages up to 30kgs may be sent via this low-cost service, and a notice of delivery will be returned to the sender when the parcel has been delivered! Posting fees and destination tariffs, if any, apply. (see Fee Tables)

4. Post Cargo

PostCargo is a new business meant for transporting consignment with flexibility in packing; wight, size and shape compare to Post parcels.

Features of PostCargo:

• The services has no limitation on size, weight and packaging mode.
• The assessment of charges is based on weight and volume of the cargo.
• There is no limitation on the shape of the cargo to be transported.
• There is a room for bargaining to customers with bulky cargo.

How to Use PostCargo

• Prepare/Pack your cargo in such a way that it does not damage other cargo or injure TPC staff.
• Present your cargo to the nearest Post Office. However free pick-up service is offered to customers with many items or bulk cargo.
• Make payment according to the size or weight of the cargo. Frequent customers and those with bulky cargo can make payment according to negotiations.
• The addressee will be notified immediately as the cargo arrives at his/her post office of destination.

PostCargo service has been introduced purposely to suite the needs of business companies, corporations, public, private institutions and individuals.

PostCargo Service Routes

The test results of postcargo service along some few selected routes has proved to be successful hence by necessitating wider provision of the service along other remaining routes.

Currently, PostCargo is provided along the following routes:

• DSM-  Korogwe - Tanga - Arusha
• DSM - Morogoro - Iringa - Makambako - Mbeya
• DSM - Morogoro - Dodooma

Transport any type of cargo from small (31kgs) to large (maximum weight 50kgs), as well as odd-size items. Customers are able to drop off their cargo items at the post office --- or arrange for convenient home pick-up!
